CLEVELAND, Ohio (Sept. 8)—BioMec Inc. has formed a new subsidiary by combining two recently acquired medical device manufacturers, MediCon Inc. and InnoMedica Inc., and creating BioMec Cardiovascular Inc. The new company will be based in Minneapolis, Minn., where both InnoMedica and MediCon were previously located and will be headed by Vincent P. Owens, one of the original four employees of BioMec Inc. The integration of the two companies into BioMec Cardiovascular better reflects the parent firm´s products and its plans to focus on the cardiovascular goods end of the business, according to Stephen M.
