SALT LAKE CITY (Sept. 5)—Huntsman Corp. has completed the purchase of the Morton global thermoplastic polyurethane business from Philadelphia-based Rohm and Haas Co. for $120 million. The Morton TPU business has manufacturing sites in Osnabruck, Germany, and Ringwood, Ill. It will be integrated into the newly created Huntsman Polyurethanes division as a business unit. The acquisition boosts Huntsman Polyurethanes to the fourth-largest position in the global TPU market, a spokeswoman said. Morton employs about 160 worldwide and offers more than 230 TPU products sold in 26 countries.
