WILMINGTON, Del. (Sept. 5)—DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise said Sept. 1 it is increasing isophthaloyl chloride and terephthaloyl chloride prices 10 cents per pound. The hikes are immediate, or such as customer contracts allow. The increase is being made to reflect higher energy costs in manufacturing and will affect all bulk and drum package forms. ICL and TCL are used in the manufacture of aramid fibers and performance polymers and as stabilizers for urethane prepolymers.
