MELBOURNE, Australia (Sept. 5)—Pacific Brands, a division of Pacific Dunlop Ltd., acquired the assets of Clarks Shoes Australasia from United Kingdom-based C&J Clarks. The deal provides licensing and distribution rights to the Clarks shoe brand, the Hush Puppies brand under a separate license from Wolverine Worldwide, and ownership of the Harrison and Gro-Shu trademarks, Pacific Dunlop said. The purchase extends Pacific Brands´ brand reach and marketing capability in key product categories. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
