WASHINGTON (Sept. 1)—Ford Motor Co. CEO Jacques Nasser has changed his mind and will testify Sept. 6 before a joint House subcommittee hearing. Nasser announced his change of heart during a media conference call. Previously, Nasser said he was too busy directing the recall of 6.5 million Firestone tires to appear at the hearing which concerns the conduct of the recall. Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. CEO Masatoshi Ono affirmed his appearance at the hearing early on, as did Ford engineering executives Helen Petrauskas and Tom Baughman.
