MARQUETTE, Mich. (Aug. 31)—Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. has entered a five-year lease agreement with the Marquette County Commission in Michigan´s Upper Peninsula for the use of 113 acres at the former K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base, a newly constructed 5,000-sq.-ft. garage on the property and an office building adjacent to the test area. Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems will operate the facility as an extension of its Brighton, Mich., technical center. The spacious testing grounds will allow Delphi to work on several customers´ vehicles in separate, secure areas while assuring product confidentiality is maintained at all times, Delphi said.
