HANOVER, Germany (Aug. 16)—A Continental A.G. executive search committee is proposing the company hire Wolfgang Ziebart, a former member of BMW A.G.´s board of management, to replace Hans Albert Beller, the head of Conti´s automotive systems group, who is planning to retire at year-end. Ziebart, 50, previously headed up research, development and purchasing for BMW. Beller, 62, has overseen Conti´s automotive systems business for the past seven years, including integration of the Continental-Teves brake and chassis systems business. Conti´s supervisory board will consider the recommendation at its regularly scheduled meeting Sept. 27.
