PITTSBURGH (Aug. 15)—Bayer Corp.´s Plastics Division has raised prices for its thermoplastic polyurethane resins an average of 5 percent, effective Aug. 15. The company blamed the cost of regulatory compliance, raw materials and shifts in market channels for its first price hike since 1997. The increase covers customers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
