ROCKY HILL, Conn. (Aug. 10)—Loctite Corp. has agreed to buy Dexter Corp.´s electronic materials, adhesives and polymer systems business for $400 million. Loctite, which is owned by Henkel KGaA of Germany, said it will obtain a business that makes encapsulants, semi-permanent mold release coatings and structural adhesives used by the aerospace, automotive, electronic, recreation and other industries. The Dexter business reported sales of $236 million in 1999.
