TROY, Mich. (July 27)—Collins & Aikman Corp.´s Canton, Ohio, has set a safety record for a fabricated rubber products plant, and received a Best Record award from the National Safety Council for its achievement. The company said its Canton facility operated 3,164,096 employee hours, from Oct. 16, 1996, to Dec. 31, 1999, without an injury case involving days away from work.
