FAIRLAWN, Ohio (July 26)—Alatech Healthcare L.L.C. is considering doubling its Slocomb, Ala., condom plant production capacity by the second quarter of 2001. The 18-month-old firm is contemplating adding equipment for condom manufacturing, testing and packaging at the site, where employment has grown from 15 to 50 in the last few months, the company said. Alatech executives discussed the company´s plans while attending the third annual International Latex Conference, held July 25-26 in Fairlawn.
