NEW YORK (July 24)—Cargill Inc., international commodity trader and agro-business giant, seeks a partner to buy into its Rubber Division. "We had an announcement in the `Wall Street Journal´ June 7 about looking for a partner," said Patrecia Bovino, manager of the Cargill Rubber Division in New York. "I really can´t comment further at this time." But Cargill does not plan to exit the rubber sector, as some published reports have indicated, she added. Bovino said the estimate in the "Financial Times" of London that Cargill trades some 400 kilotons of natural rubber annually is "about correct."
