GRAVATAI, Brazil (July 21)—Lear Corp. has announced the inauguration of its new facility in Gravatai. The $15 million, 63,000-sq.-ft. Rio Grande do Sul will supply seats and door and headliner modules for General Motor Corp.´s compact Chevrolet Celta model, according to Lear. The site employes 120 workers and is located adjacent to GM´s Gravatai plant, sharing common infrastructure, security, area utilities and employee amenities, Lear said.
