MARINE CITY, Mich. (July 19)—Dana Corp.´s Plumley Division will cease production at its Marine City plant July 31 in the wake of lost productivity and increased recruitment and training costs in the highly competitive manufacturing region. The Plumley facility produces plastic carriers that are shipped to other division plants where they are coated with silicone for engine sealing applications. Capacity at the 50,000-sq.-ft. site will be relocated to Plumley´s Paris, Tenn., plant. Dana has offered its 120 displaced workers positions at one of its other 25 Michigan sites, a company spokesman said.
