HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (July 18)—Siegling America Inc. has won the North Carolina Department of Labor Safety Award for 1999. The award, which recognizes firms that achieve a lost workday rate lower than the 50-percent incident rate for their SIC category, is given yearly. Siegling, a subsidiary of Switzerland´s Forbo Group, is a maker of light-weight industrial belting. The firm reports having instituted employee-driven safety programs at all its locations.
