AKRON (July 14)—William J. Sharp, Goodyear president of its North American Tire operation, has retired after 36 years with the company, effective immediately. Sharp, 58, had been in his final position with Goodyear since July of last year. John C. Polhemus, 56, the company´s Latin American Region president, will succeed Sharp. Chris W. Clark, 48, managing director of Goodyear Brazil, will succeed Polhemus. Eduardo Fortunato, director of sales and marketing in Latin America, will take Clark´s position. Other promotions include Marco V. Molinari to vice president of global marketing projects, and Jim M. Vogel to vice president of marketing and corporate accounts for North American Tire.
