DENVER (July 13)—Roofing membrane manufacturers Johns Manville Corp. and Carlisle SynTec Inc. announced July 11 they´ve entered into a strategic alliance to enhance their positions in the Canadian market. Through the agreement, Johns Manville will provide sales and customer service support for commercial roofing membranes manufactured by Carlisle and sold into Canada. In addition to manufacturing, Carlisle will provide technical support for both companies via its Toronto office. Enercorp, a Canadian firm which acts as an independent manufacturer´s representative for Johns Manville roofing materials, now will represent Carlisle´s rubber and thermoplastic roofing systems.
