LAKE MARY, Fla. (July 12)—BarrierMed Inc., which earlier this year began marketing its first products, has agreed to supply Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with three gloves: BarrierPlus surgical and Nitralon and Synthalon examination gloves. The large medical center will begin using the synthetic gloves as an alternative to those made with natural rubber latex in 2001, according to Victor J. Ragucci, founder and CEO of BarrierMed. The Lake Mary-based glove maker expects to furnish as many as seven million surgical and examination gloves next year, he said.
