LAKE FOREST, Ill. (July 12)—Shareholders of Tenneco Automotive elected Frank E. Macher and Dennis G. Severance to the supplier´s board of directors. Dana G. Mead, who retired as chairman in March, is stepping down from the board, as well. Macher was president and CEO of ITT Automotive, following a 30-year career with Ford Motor Co., where he most recently served as vice president and general manager of the automotive components division until his retirement in 1996. Severance is the Andersen Consulting professor of computer and information systems at the University of Michigan Business School where he has served as the chairman of the computer and information systems faculty during his 22-year tenure there. Before that, he held associate and assistant professor positions at the Univeristy of Minnesota and Cornell University.
