TOLEDO (July 6)—Dana Corp. has signed a letter of intent to participate in Covisint, the Internet trade exchange under development by the three North American auto makers, Renault S.A. and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. Dana will use Covisint for most of its transactions with original equipment customers and suppliers, according to Jim Woodward, Dana vice president and director of e-business. In January, Dana said it would develop its own exchange. "Covisint represents another important tool in Dana´s ongoing effort to eliminate redundancy in the purchasing area," Woodward said in a prepared statement.
