TOKYO (July 5)—Tosoh Corp. has purchased complete control of a joint venture with Akzo Corp. in the Netherlands, and sold its 30-percent interest in another partnership in Japan to Akzo. Tosoh said it now owns all Tosoh Akzo Corp., which makes polymerization catalysts used to produce synthetic rubber and polyolefins. Akzo gained full control of Akzo Kashima, a maker of curing agents used in tire manufacturing.
