SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (July 5)—Huntsman Corp. is reorganizing its global businesses and has named new corporate officers to create a more efficient operation and enable it to respond more quickly to customers´ needs, the company said. Huntsman will be organized into four businesses, with a senior executive responsible for each, a company spokesman said. The new businesses are Huntsman Specialty Chemicals, which includes the firm´s rapidly growing polyurethanes operation, with headquarters in Everberg, Belgium; Huntsman Tioxide, based in London; Huntsman Petrochemicals, which includes polymers, headquartered in Houston; and Huntsman Surfactants, also based in Houston. Heading up the four segments are Patrick Thomas, specialty chemicals; Douglas Coombs, tioxide; Thomas Keenan, petrochemicals; and Richard Lundgren, surfactants. They´ll be responsible for all manufacturing, sales and marketing of products within their businesses, the spokesman said. Each will report to Peter R. Huntsman, who recently was named CEO of Huntsman Corp.
