AKRON (June 29)—Goodyear Chemical, Ameripol Synpol Corp. and DSM Copolymer all raised prices 4 to 5 cents per pound on their emulsion SBR and polybutadiene products, effective July 1. Goodyear also will raise its polyisoprene prices by 10 cents per pound. The companies blamed the increases on the continuing high price of oil and oil-derivatives. Carbon black makers, Columbian Chemical Co., Continental Carbon Co. and Cancarb Ltd. cited high oil prices as reasons for their price increases of 5 to 7 percent, effective July 15.
