AKRON (June 23)—Goodyear and Group Michelin are joining forces to provide auto makers and consumers with new choices in run-flat tire systems. The two tire manufacturers will cooperate in the research and development of advanced run-flat technologies through a joint venture headquartered in the Netherlands. Goodyear will license its extended mobility technology and pressure monitoring system patents to Michelin, which in turn will license the Pax System to Goodyear.
