BOSTON (June 14)—Cabot Corp. will build a $30 million, 40,000 metric ton per year carbon black unit at its plant in Maua, Brazil. The new unit, to be brought on-stream in early 2002, will be Cabot Brasil´s third production site in Brazil. "This new unit will allow us to meet future needs for standard and higher-value carbon blacks throughout Latin America," William Noglows, Cabot´s executive vice president and general manager of its carbon black business, said in a prepared statement.
