LAPORTE, Ind. (June 14)—Automotive seal manufacturer American Rubber Products Corp. has reached agreements with two foreign companies in an effort to increase sales and expand its global market. Through a licensing agreement with Japan´s Tokiwa Chemical Industries Ltd., ARP will be one of the first companies to produce a new thermoplastic polyolefin seal in North America. In a separate deal announced in April, ARP and Bunbeg, Ireland-based Ruibear Motair Teoranta, an automotive components manufacturer, have agreed to use each other´s production facilities with the hope of eventually forming a joint venture.
