DANVILLE, Va. (June 14)—In an effort to expand its fledgling engineered products division, Dan River Inc. has agreed to buy all of the assets and assume certain operating liabilities of WesTek Inc., a maker of automotive and industrial yarns and fabrics. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The deal, likely to close in September, will double business for the division, said Denise Laussade, vice president of finance. The engineered products division produces yarns and woven fabrics for conveyer belts, high-pressure hoses in the automotive industry and other industrial applications.
