PLYMOUTH, Mich. (June 8)—Freudenberg-NOK G.P., in partnership with Unigraphics Solutions, has donated 20 computer-aided design workstations, a server and related software to the University of Massachusetts Lowell for use in the university´s Plastics Engineering Department. Freudenberg-NOK purchased the CAD workstations in 1995 for nearly $500,000 and until recently used then at several of its North American facilities. Although the workstations no longer possessed the capabilities required for Freudenberg-NOK´s advanced design needs, they will meet the student´s requirements, the company said. The department conducts research and educational studies for industry.
