ATLANTA (May 30)—Columbian Chemicals Co. has acquired the remaining 40-percent share of its Hungarian carbon black manufacturing facility from joint venture partner Tiszai Vegyi Kombinat Rt. The plant, located in Tiszaujvaros, Hungary, was built by Columbian Chemicals in 1993 and remains the newest carbon black plant in Europe. The buy-out was made for $19 million, Columbian reported.
