SCHKOPAU, Germany (May 25)—Dow Chemical Co. will dedicate a 60,000 metric ton per year solution SBR plant May 26 at its Buna Sow Leuna Olefinverbund GmbH subsidiary in Schkopau. Completion of the solution SBR line, built with Nippon Zeon Co. Ltd. technology, is the last of 15 new facilities Dow and local partners funded at the former East German chemical complex in the past five years. It also clears the way for Dow to take 100 percent ownership of the site June 1. At that time, the complex will become known as Dow Central Germany.
