ST. LOUIS (May 25)—A St. Louis jury has ordered Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. to pay an injured garage worker $5 million in compensatory damages and $100 million in punitive damages. The worker had his arms, wrists and jaw broken when a truck tire exploded while he was inflating it. Bridgestone/Firestone plans to appeal.
