KATY, Texas (May 24)—Cameron Elastomer Technology has expanded its Katy facility, enabling the manufacturer of elastomer products for the oil field industry to double its capacity there. The $6 million expansion, completed earlier this year, includes 5,000 square feet of additional space, five injection molding presses, a hot-feed extruder, a batch-off unit and a five-ton crane. Cameron Elastomer, a unit of the Houston-based Cameron Division of Cooper Cameron Corp., also upgraded its rubber laboratory to increase its quality control and research and development capabilities.
