DETROIT (May 17)—Haartz Corp. said it has landed a second contract to supply thermoplastic olefin instrument panel cover skins for an unspecified vehicle for the 2002 model year. The contract comes as Haartz is beginning production of IP skins for the 2001 Mazda Tribute, an agreement which marked the first time a North American Tier 2 supplier has provided a TPO cover skin for an original equipment manufacturer. Haartz will supply skins for the new contract to Intertec Systems, a joint venture between Johnson Controls Inc. and Inoac Corp. in Japan.
