NEW DELHI, India (May 10)—Apollo Tyres Ltd. is planning to build a radial truck/bus and off-the-road tire plant to support its goal of achieving a 25-percent share of the Indian market. The company has budgeted $150 million to build the plant, according to Onkar S. Kanwar, Apollo chairman and managing director. The plant would have an initial capacity of 100 metric tons a day, Apollo said, compared with the company´s existing capacity of 485 tons a day at four other plants.
