SALT LAKE CITY (May 2)—Huntsman Corp. Chairman and CEO Jon Huntsman has donated $125 million of his personal money to expand the research and treatment capacity of the University of Utah´s Huntsman Cancer Institute, for which he is founder and chief benefactor. Huntsman established the HCI in 1995 with an initial $100 million donation. Its 225,000-sq.ft. Salt Lake City research and outpatient facility was dedicated last September. The bulk of the gift will be used to fund ongoing cancer study and construct a clinical research hospital adjacent to the Institute´s existing research site. A remainder of the funds will go toward support of several joint programs with the Intermountain Health Care organization, Huntsman Corp. said.
