NORWALK, Conn. (May 2)—Arch Chemicals Inc. has increased the urethane polyol production capacity at its Brandenburg, Ky., plant to handle anticipated requirements from growing markets in North America, Asia and Latin America. The capacity hike was achieved through a series of projects including debottlenecking and efficiency upgrades, the company said. The additional capacity will allow Arch Chemicals to participate in the forecasted growth of the coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers and rigid foam markets, said John J. Margherio, vice president and general manager of performance urethanes and organics.
