DEL RIO, Texas (April 20)—Northport Industries Inc., a manufacturer of rubber and plastic parts for the automotive, juvenile, golf and luggage industries, posted sales of $959,527 for the first two months of calendar year 2000, a 17-percent increase over the same period in 1999. Net income for the company, which is traded on the over-the-counter exchange, increased 27 percent to $81,213 from $64,149 last year. Northport said it has begun shipping its new camping line of products to K-Mart stores and expects to announce initial sales results soon.
