QUINCY, Ill. (April 19)—Agricultural and construction tire and wheel maker Titan International Inc. had net income of $1.06 million for the first quarter ended March 31, a marked improvement over the $128,000 figure posted last year. The company had reported losses of nearly $6 million in each of the third and fourth quarters of 1999. Sales rose in the quarter 3.6 percent to $164.3 million from $158.6 million in the like period last year.
