KUALA LUMPUR (April 19)—Gerard Loyen, acting executive director of the International Natural Rubber Organization, was killed April 19 in an automobile accident in Kuala Lumpur. No further details were immediately available. Loyen was promoted from INRO deputy executive director last May when his predecessor, Ahmad Zubeir Noordin, died of a heart attack. There was no word whether the INRO council would try to seek a new acting executive director for the defunct, liquidating rubber price stabilization organization.
