GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 3)—Michelin America Small Tires, Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. and Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices on their passenger and light truck tires. Michelin will boost prices up to 5 percent on passenger and light truck tires sold to the U.S. replacement market. The increase, effective June 5, affects Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal and all private and associate brands. Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. is raising prices up to 4 percent on all replacement passenger and light truck tires it sells, effective June 1. Specific price hikes by product line will be issued by May 10, Bridgestone/Firestone said.
