DETROIT (March 28)—Atecs Mannesmann´s Boge unit began production of conventional vibration control parts in January at a renovated plant in Trnava, Slovakia. Located in the same industrial park as parent division Sachs Automotive, the Trnava facility is 40,500 square feet and employs 80. Boge projects revenue of $20 million from the sale of elastomeric bushings and mounts produced at the plant this year and $40 million next year, said Paul Eberhard Krug, president of the Boge vibration control business. He predicts sales from the site will increase to $100 million by the end of 2005 as Boge moves select European capacity for the low-tech parts there.
