SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (March 16)—Federal-Mogul Corp. said March 15 it will close 22 North American warehouses, consolidate 18 manufacturing and distribution operations in Europe and Asia and cut 1,500 or 3 percent of its global work force. The move, aimed at decreasing the sealing maker´s invested capital for improved economic value, will cost Federal-Mogul an estimated $200 million over the next two years.
