LOS ANGELES (March 3)—Rubber Technology International Inc., a Los Angeles crumb rubber supplier, has won a contract from the Alpine School District in Utah to supply crumb rubber for school playground surfaces. RTI supplied 1 million pounds of crumb rubber under a previous contract with the district and will provide another 1 million under the new agreement, said RTI Vice President Jim Mason. The Alpine School District, located 35 miles south of Salt Lake City, includes the towns of Orem, Linden, American Fork and Pleasant Grove.
