MIDDLEBURY, Conn. (Feb. 25)—Rubber trader Lewis & Peat Rubber L.P. officially has come out of Chapter 11 reorganization with the approval of Judge Lorraine Murphy Weil of the New Haven, Conn., federal bankruptcy court. The company had filed for dismissal of its Chapter 11 filing with the consent of the U.S. Trustee´s Office and Singapore-based Rabobank, its largest secured creditor, Lewis & Peat said in a news release. The company filed for Chapter 11 in January, reportedly because of complications in its relationship with Bakrie Brothers, its Indonesian owners.
