FINDLAY, Ohio (Feb. 9)—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. plans to study options for its plastics division. The firm will determine the unit´s suitability in its strategy to focus on products and technologies using Cooper´s engineering and research and development strengths and demonstrate potential for profitable growth. The division, which includes Cooper-Standard´s automotive plastics business unit, reported 1999 sales of about $215 million.
