WASHINGTON (Feb. 3)—The Society of the Plastics Industry has named Donald K. Duncan, retired DuPont Dow Elastomers L.L.C. president and CEO, as its new president. He was approved unanimously by SPI´s board at its Feb. 2 meeting in Washington. Duncan was a 34-year veteran of DuPont, starting as a research engineer in its Parkersburg, W.Va., facility. His last job before joining the DuPont Dow joint venture was as general manager of DuPont´s Elastomeric Strategic Business Unit, which has more than $1 billion in annual sales. Duncan became president of DuPont Dow in 1996 and retired early last year.
