MOUNT OLIVE, N.J. (Jan. 17)—Chemical product maker BASF Corp. will purchase the polyurethane systems business of IPI International, a subsidiary of PMC Inc. The acquisition boosts BASF´s market position and expands its participation in the North American spray foam market, the company said. IPI International is a global supplier of blended polyurethane systems used principally for insulation purposes. BASF is the North American affiliate of BASF Group, headquartered in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
