NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone/ Firestone Inc. has given Alain Dery and Yves Malouin new plant manager assignments, and promoted Jim Jannasch to product manager.
Dery takes the reins at the firm´s Lavergne, Tenn., tire facility, replacing the retiring Barry Harper. Dery joined Firestone in 1981 as a tire assembler at the Joliette, Quebec, plant, and served in several capacities before becoming plant manager at the factory in 1993.
Malouin now is plant manger at Joliette, where he has worked as production manager since 1998. He joined the firm at Joliette as a plant engineer in 1994.
Harper has retired after 10 years with the company. He started as a senior project engineer in Akron, moved to the Lavergne plant as a division business manager in 1992 and had been plant manger since 1996.
Jannasch has assumed the post of EPDM product manager at the Firestone Building Products Co. division. He
will be responsible for the planning and development of new products and accessories for the firm´s EPDM line, used in roofing systems.
Jannasch joined Firestone in 1983 as a senior engineering assistant and later worked as engineering product manager for EPDM and modified bitumen.
