GREENVILLE, S.C.—Tweel has gone and earned itself a couple of new fitments in the off-the-road tire space.
Michelin North American Inc.'s X Tweel Turf 24-inch airless tire was selected as rear-wheel original equipment fitment on Bad Boy Mowers' 2024 Rebel X and has been approved as a replacement fitment on existing mowers requiring 24x12x12 tires.
The 24-inch tire offers a 750-pound load capacity and incorporates a five-bolt design, allowing it to mount easily to the Rebel X mowers without modification or complex mounting equipment.
It can be used with or without a bagger system.
"We're proud of our partnership with Bad Boy Mowers and excited to bring unbeatable value to every Rebel X mower owner," Tony Marconi, business director of Michelin Tweel Technologies, said in a statement. "Bad Boy mowers are known for their long-lasting performance and value. Michelin's airless technology adds tires tough enough to 'mow with an attitude' day after day without flat tires."
The Michelin X Tweel Turf 26-inch tire, meanwhile, was approved as a replacement fitment for Ferris Mowers' ISX 3300 model. The 26x12N12 XL Tweel with a 5on4.5" PCD and -2.2-inch offset can be used to replace the standard 26x12x12 tire on an existing mower.

Providing an option like this, which we've tested and validated to deliver premium performance with Ferris equipment, demonstrates our understanding of what it takes to win in landscape contracting."
