DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.—Univar Solutions Inc., a major distributor of chemicals used in rubber and plastics compounding, has increased its reach in western Europe with the acquisition of Vicom Distribucion Productos Quimicos, S.L.
Vicom, of Barcelona, Spain, distributes coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers in both Spain and Portugal.
Terms of the transaction, finalized Aug. 1, were not disclosed.
